Hey, how are ya?

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Emily and I’m a freelance learning experience designer specializing in strategy, curriculum and course design, as well as marketing and media production. A promoter of time management, open communication, and creative collaboration, I help clients move projects forward to achieve –and succeed– results.

This site showcases some of my work in adult learning design, social media and brand strategy, as well as event planning and promotion.

About

I consider myself an organized creative who is passionate about process and progress.

A former project manager turned social media marketer turned learning experience designer, I’ve done the restaurant and bartending thing, lived the agency and startup life, raised money for nonprofits, dabbled in higher ed, and even worked on a farm!

I’ve spent the last ten years, mostly in marketing, media, and advertising; working with brands like MTV, IBM, FCB Health, The University of Colorado Denver, and The American Cancer Society. I stepped into the shoes of a learning experience designer (LXD) in 2017 after receiving my master’s in instructional design and adult learning from the University of Colorado Denver.

I love this work because I believe we should never stop learning. And learning shouldn’t be complicated. In today’s rapidly changing digital landscape, people (of all ages) need easily accessible information that will allow them to continue to navigate and succeed in what’s becoming the future of work.

As a freelance learning experience designer, I primarily focus on helping my clients design and execute adult learning programs and experiences. Whether you’re struggling to make progress on your online course, need help scaling process and procedure or employee onboarding, or your training program could use a little TLC – I can help!
