I consider myself an organized creative who is passionate about process and progress.
A former project manager turned social media marketer turned learning experience designer, I’ve done the restaurant and bartending thing, lived the agency and startup life, raised money for nonprofits, dabbled in higher ed, and even worked on a farm!
I’ve spent the last ten years, mostly in marketing, media, and advertising; working with brands like MTV, IBM, FCB Health, The University of Colorado Denver, and The American Cancer Society. I stepped into the shoes of a learning experience designer (LXD) in 2017 after receiving my masters in instructional design and adult learning from the University of Colorado Denver.
I love this work because I believe we should never stop learning. And learning shouldn’t be complicated. In today’s rapidly changing digital landscape, people (of all ages) need easily accessible information that will allow them to continue to navigate and succeed in what’s becoming the future of work.
And, if there is one thing I’ve learned from my experience in Corporate America, it’s that it’s easy to drum up ideas and aspirations. But, it’s hard to execute them.
Big ideas are great, but practicality gets sh*t done.
As a freelance learning experience designer, I primarily focus on helping my clients create, design, and launch adult learning programs and experiences, but do a little social media and content marketing campaigns on the side.
Do you have an idea for an online course but struggling to make progress on it? Is your business scaling and you need help creating, updating, and streamlining things like processes and procedures, or employee onboarding? Alternatively, maybe your education and training program is outdated and needs a little TLC.
